At the end of the reading the celebrant says:

The Homily

The Creed
All stand and say together this public statement of witness to what we believe

I believe in one God the Father Almighty Maker of heaven and earth, of all
that is seen and unseen. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only son of
God Eternally begotten of the Father. God from God, Light from Light, True
God from True God begotten not made, of one being with the Father through
Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation, He came down
from heaven. By the power of the Holy Spirit He became incarnate from the
Virgin Mary and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius
Pilate. He suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in
accordance to the scriptures and ascended into heaven and is seated at the
right hand of the Father. He shall come again in glory to judge the living and
the dead and his Kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit the
Lord the giver of life who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son He is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken
through the prophets. I believe in one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church I
acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins I look for the
resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.  Amen.

Intercessions
Here we offer prayers for many causes. The priest invites you to offer your
own prayers and you may do so silently or publicly as you feel you wish.
You may sit or kneel for our prayers.
After each intercession may be said:
Intercessor:  Father in your mercy
All: Hear our prayer

At the end of the intercessions, the Intercessor says:
Rejoicing in the fellowship of all your angels and saints we commend
ourselves and all Christian people to your unfailing love.    Merciful Father:

All Accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ

Liturgy of The Eucharist

Offertory Sentence
A short quotation from Scripture may be said whilst the vessels and, bread
and wine, the gifts to be offered, are placed on the altar

P Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation. Through your goodness we have
this bread to offer which earth has given and human hands have made  It will
become for us the bread of life.

C Blessed be God for ever

P By the mystery of this water and wine may we come to share in the divinity
of Christ who humbled himself to share in our humanity

P Blessed are you Lord, God of all creation. Through your goodness we have
this wine to offer Fruit of the vine and work of human hands.   It will become
our spiritual drink.

C Blessed be God for ever

The Celebrant then symbolically washes his hands before beginning the most
sacred part of the Eucharist

P Lord wash away my iniquity, cleanse me from my sin.

Pray brothers and sisters that our sacrifice may be acceptable   to God the
Almighty Father.

C May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the   praise and glory of
His name, for our good and the good of   all His church.

P The Lord be with you
C And also with you

P Lift up your hearts
C We lift them to the Lord

P Let us give thanks to the Lord our God
C It is right to give him thanks and praise

The Preface
This prayer changes with the church's seasons and there are special ones for
feast days.  All end with the words:
.

P It is indeed right, and a good and joyful thing, to thank you, Father in
heaven, and to praise you with all creation. For in you we live, we move and
we have our being. Each day anew we know the works of your loving-
kindness. In this life you already give us the Holy Spirit as pledge of eternal
glory. Through him you raised Jesus from the dead and gave us the sure hope
that the paschal mystery will be fulfilled in us. Therefore we join the praise of
heaven, singing with all your creatures the hymn of joy:

All Holy Holy Holy Lord,
God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the Highest

+Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.

THE EUCHARISTIC PRAYER
This is the most solemn part of the Mass when  the bread and wine is blessed
and becomes the body and blood of Christ, his gift to us. During the
consecration the Priest says:

P  Blessèd are you, Lord of all power and might, in your Son Jesus, the Christ,
who came in your name. He is your saving word for humanity. He is the hand
which you extend to sinners. He is the way in which your peace reaches us.
God, our Father, because we have turned away from you, you draw us back
by your Son, the good Shepherd. He was obedient for us unto death so that
we might get back to you and to each other. That is why we celebrate the
reconciliation which has been granted to us in your Son.

Heavenly Father, fill our praise with your glory. +Bless this gift, complete it,
accept it as rendering present the one sacrifice of our Lord. Send your Holy
Spirit upon us and our eucharist, sanctify this bread to be the body + of Christ
and this cup to be the blood + of Christ. Let the Holy Spirit fulfill the word of
your beloved Son.

Who on the night in which he was handed over, he took bread, gave you
thanks, broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, saying, Take, eat: this is my
body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.

Likewise after supper he took the cup, thanked you again, gave the cup to his
disciples, saying, Take and drink this, all of you, this is the cup of the new
and everlasting covenant, my blood which is shed for you and for all for the
forgiveness of sins. Do this in remembrance of  me.

As often as we eat from this bread and drink from this cup, we taste and
proclaim the mystery of faith.

All Dying you destroyed our death
Rising you restored our life
Lord Jesus, come in glory.

P Until he comes again, we celebrate the memorial of our reconciliation and
proclaim the gift of your love, your Son who entered death for us, whom you
set free from death and raised to your right hand.

We ask you: look on these signs of our devotion, on this bread and on this
cup. Accept us in your Son and in this meal grant us the Spirit whom he has
promised, the Spirit of unity who takes away what separates us, who brings
us together in Christ and who makes us instruments of your peace.

Fill us through this body and blood of your Son with all the blessing and
grace of heaven. We ask you to remember all who have gone before us in the
sign of faith and rest in peace. Also our departed sisters and brothers whose
faith is known to you alone. (Silence) Accompany them to the banquet in your
presence which has been prepared for all people, together with Mary the
Mother of our Lord, St. Severin, all the apostles and martyrs, and with all the
saints who live from your friendship.

May we and all for whom your Son has died share in his resurrection. Accept
us sinners too who trust in the fullness of your love into the fellowship of
your salvation, with all whose life has come to completion with you, not
because we would merit it but because you are granting your mercy through
our Lord Jesus Christ.

Remember, Lord, your one holy catholic and apostolic Church, redeemed by
the blood of your Son. Grant it unity, deepen its faith and keep it in peace.
Strengthen our Abbot General Klau
s and our bishop protector Joachim. Bless
all those in apostolic ministry
.  Remember especially our brothers and sisters
in the Order of Port Royal, all Benedictines and all Cistercians.

Heavenly Father we praise and bless you and look for the coming of your
kingdom in which, together with all creation redeemed from sin and death,
we glorify you through Christ, our Lord.

THE EUCHARISTIC PRAYER continues
ending with the words:
Through him and with him and in him, in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, all
honour and glory is yours, God, almighty Father, now and for ever. Amen.

All Blessing and honour and glory and power be yours for ever and ever.
Amen.

P Let us pray with confidence in the words our Lord gave us:

All say:

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.

The priest says:
Deliver us, Lord from every evil,
and grant us peace in our day.
In your mercy keep us free from sin
and protect us from all anxiety
as we wait in joyful hope
for the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ

All say:
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the Glory
For ever and ever.   Amen.

Fraction

P We break this bread to share in the body of Christ

C Though we are many, we are one body, because we all share in one bread.

P May the mixing of the body and blood of Christ be to our eternal salvation.

Agnus Dei (Lamb of God)
We say together:
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, Have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, Have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, Grant us peace.

P This is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.   Happy are
those who are called to his supper.
C Lord I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word   and I shall be
healed.

P Lord, grant that what we receive with our mouths may make clean our
hearts and through this Holy Communion may we receive the benefits of
eternal salvation

P The bread of heaven, the cup of salvation

COMMUNION

[The Holy Communion is given to any who desire to receive the Body and
Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ in the form of bread and wine.  Usually the
sacred bread is placed on the tongue of the recipient by the priest whilst
standing but if you prefer you may take it in your hand.  No-one is excluded
from receiving the Blessed Sacrament whether they are adult or children.  A
blessing will be given to very young children or any who do not desire to
receive the Sacrament. After receiving communion you may sit quietly whilst
the sacred vessels are put away and then the priest will read a short passage
from holy Scripture ]

All say together:
Father of all we give you thanks and praise that when we were still far off you
met us in your Son and  brought us home.  Dying and living, he declared
your love gave us grace  and opened the gate of glory.  May we who share
Christ's body live his risen life,  We who drink his cup bring life to others,
We whom the spirit lights give light to the world.   Keep us firm in the hope
you have set before us  So we and all your children shall be free and the
whole earth live to praise your name,  through Christ our Lord

P The Lord be with you
C And also with you

If the Bishop is presiding the following is said:
B Blessed be the name of the Lord
C From this day forward for evermore

B Our help is in the name of the Lord
C Who has made heaven and earth

The Blessing
On solemn occasions (when the Bishop is wearing the mitre and carrying his
crozier) it is the custom to kneel for his blessing.

P The peace of God which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and
minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of his son, Jesus Christ our
Lord: and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, be
among you and remain with you always.

All Amen.

The Peace
In our monastic Order we always share the Peace at the end of the Mass

P Lord Jesus Christ you said to your apostles, ‘I leave you peace, my peace I
give you’, look not on our sins but on the faith of your church and grant us the
peace and unity of your kingdom where you will live for ever and ever.

P The peace of the Lord be always with you
C And also with you

We exchange the peace with the words:
Peace be with you
to which we reply
And also with you.

Some Prayers which may be said before, during or after Mass
These are printed in the Missal or Mass Book so that the congregation my join
the celebrant in prayer or offer private prayer at the end of the Service

The Ave Maria (Hail Mary)
The priest says: Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you.  Blessed are you
among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus

of our death.  Amen

A Prayer before the Cross
God we love you with our whole heart and above all things and are heartily
sorry that we have offended you.  May we never offend you any more; may
we love you without ceasing and make it our delight to do in all things your
most holy will.

The Prayer of St Ignatius
Teach us good Lord to serve you as you deserve.  To give and not to count
the cost.  To fight and not to heed the wounds.  To toil and not to seek for
rest.  To labour and not to ask for any reward save that of knowing that we do
your will.

The Anima Christi (Soul of Christ)
Soul  of Christ sanctify me
Body of Christ save me
Blood of Christ inebriate me
Water from the side of Christ wash me
Passion of Christ strengthen me

Suffer me not to be separated from you
From the malicious enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me and bid me come to you
That with your saints I praise you for ever and ever
Amen

you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to you do we send up our
